Sustainable Campus Concepts
Campus Ecological Zones
The campus is part of a former coastal dune, estuary and riparian ecosystem. For the purpose of
environmental education and water conservation, the valley would be replanted over time with species native to these communities.
While upland forest, meadow and riparian species would be re-introduced, the valley would continue to serve its important
recreational function, with the turf playing fields visually suggesting the former upland meadow community.
